Cyclic aryl hydroxamic acids and derivatives thereof are provided having the structure <IMAGE> I wherein R is H or arylalkyl, and including acid-addition salts thereof. These compounds are useful as inhibitors of leukotriene production and as such are useful as antiallergy, anti-inflammatory and anti-psoriatic agents.
