PURPOSE:To protect data backup by providing a CPU to at least one of an IC card and a holder and providing a memory and a connection terminal to both to allow the CPU to transfer data of one memory to another memory via each connection terminal. CONSTITUTION:When an IC card 1 is stared in a holder 2, a connection terminal 3 and a connection terminal of the holder are in contact with each other, the holder refervs to data of the card, only the data subjected to revision and added newly are transferred to the holder to complete the backup. If the data in the card are destroyed and the data format is changed, the data is not transferred to the holder. In this case, in inserting a new IC card to the holder after being subjected to formatting, the data backup up by the holder is transferred to the IC card. Thus, the reliability data protection is improved remarkably. |
