PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the heat generated by a heater and to increase the gas temperature, by positioning a gas feeding pipe to lead a fuel gas and an oxidizer gas close to the inner periphery of a fuel cell housing tank. CONSTITUTION:Manifolds 2 which consist of a pair of a fuel gas pipe and an oxidizer gas (mainly of oxygen contained in the air) pipe are furnished at both sides of a cell main body 4, a gas feeding pipe 3 to lead the gas to the manifolds 2 is installed, and a fuel cell housing tank 1 to house the manifolds 2 and the pipe 3, and a heater 5 furnished around the tank 1, are arranged to heat the fuel cell. By arranging the gas feeding pipe 3 close to or in contact with the inner periphery of the fuel cell housing tank 1 in such a way, the heat generated by the heater 5 can be utilized most effectively. |
