PURPOSE:To realize a rolling roll capable of obtaining uniformly lustrous products by performing an electrical or chemical treatment on a contact surface between stocks to be rolled to work the contact surface into a satin semi-grossy surface after machining the roll into prescribed external dimensions. CONSTITUTION:The rolling roll is formed into the prescribed external dimensions by machining, the contact surface of the roll between stocks to be rolled is finished to a smooth surface having a surface roughness of about >=0.8s. Then, the electrical or chemical treatment is performed on said contact surface, the surface of the roll is worked to the satin semi-grossy surface. In this way, the rolling roll capable of obtaining the uniformly lustrous products is realized. |
