PURPOSE:To provide a wider photosensitive range and higher sensitivity and to obtain high durability suitable for repetitive use by providing a photosensitive layer contg. a specific azo pigment on a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:The azo pigment expressed by formula I or II is used as a photoconductive material to constitute the photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body. In formulas, Cp denotes a coupler residue. The electrophotographic sensitive body which is stable to heat and light, has excellent carrier generating property, the longer photosensitive wavelength range, high sensitivity, and small residual potential and does not deteriorate the characteristics even after the repetitive use is thereby obtd. |
