<p>PURPOSE:To ensure a quick and stable tape operation and to reduce the space of an information reproducing station by storing not only the tape needed for the present but a tape to be reproduced later into a robot and loading these tapes into a reproducing device as necessary. CONSTITUTION:An information medium (tape) C which is needed for the present is stored in a stay holding device (robot) R together with another tape C to be reproduced later. Then the robot R is loaded into a reproducing device MD. In other words, a robot R which transports, extracts, stores, loads and collects tapes serves as a tape stay buffer. Therefore the robot R is driven to a supply/reception position from the position of the device MD when plural tapes C or the tapes C to be returned to a storing devices S are collected. These collected tapes C are sent back to the device S and at the same time a desired tape C is taken out to the robot R from the device S. Then the robot R is driven to the position of the device MD. Thus it is possible to improve the working efficiency of the robot R and to quickly reproduce the information.</p> |
