PURPOSE:To prevent the scratches of a record disk by turning a start lever to press down a center pin by the sloping surface of the start lever and always keeping the record disk away from a pickup. CONSTITUTION:When a start lever 12 is turned round a pivot 11, a sloping surface 14 presses down a record disk 3 together with a center pin 2. Thus a sound recording surface 3a is always kept away from a pickup 4. When the lever 12 is set at its original position and pushed inside along its lengthwise direction, a sloping surface 15 presses down the pin 2 to keep the disk 3 away from the pickup 4. If the pickup 4 is set at a reproduction end point 3f under such conditions, the pickup 4 is reset at a reproduction start point 3s by a resetting spring 5. When the pressure of the lever 12 is released, the lever 12 is reset at its original position by a position setting spring 13. Thus the disk 3 is reset at a position where a contact is secured with the pickup 4. Then the reproduction of the sound recording is started.
