PURPOSE:To clean an optical system stored in a housing in an extremely easy way by providing a door capable of opening and closing to the housing for insertion of a cleaning means for optical system and opening said door as necessary. CONSTITUTION:A slender door 14 is provided on the upper surface of a case 2 along the direction of a guide means 6. This door 14 is attached to be housing 2 via a hinge 16 and usually closed. A cleaning action is immediately possible regardless of the position of an optical head 4 set along the means 6 since the door 14 is attached in response to the moving route of the head 4. Furthermore, a cleaning job is carried out with no optical disk cartridge 12 attached and therefore the cleaning operability is improved. In such a way, an objective lens is cleaned so that information can be recorded and reproduced satisfactorily. |
