PURPOSE:To enable partial repair of a coating film without causing black spotting, by blending a paint for partial repair with a thermoplastic resin as a film-forming resin component. CONSTITUTION:A paint compsn. for partial repair contains a thermoplastic resin and optionally a powdered wax as a film-forming resin component. Preferred examples of the thermosetting resin are powdered low-melting thermoplastic resins having a particle size of 0.05-0.5mu and an m.p. of 90-100 deg.C. Examples of the powdered thermoplastic resins are particulate acrylic resins. The powdered low-melting thermoplastic resin is used because when the powdered resin is filled into pores formed on the surface of a coating film in an abrasion step by using flannel cloth, molten and cured, the dropping out of the resin with the lapse of time can be prevented.
