PURPOSE:To improve the corner accuracy by rolling the minor diameter of the elliptical pipe blank fed to a scaring stand with feeding it so as to locate the major diameter between small diameter rolls to the larger diameter roll. CONSTITUTION:The minor diameter 2l1 of an elliptical pipe blank 3 is fed so as to locate between the horizontal roll 1 having larger roll diameter and the major diameter 2l2 of the blank 3 so as to locate between the vertical rolls 2 having smaller diameter. The elliptical pipe blank 3 is formed at the sizing stand making a roll caliber elliptical. With this method, the shape accuracy of a corner can be improved.
