PURPOSE:To decrese the retrial of forced end of a transaction and transaction processing by decreasing the quantity of transaction received by a transaction processing system during journal swap processing. CONSTITUTION:A journal swap supervisory means 9 is started by a journal output means 8 to supervise the quantity of a idle area of a journal file and when swap period of the journal file approaches, the upper limit of the transaction quantity within a prescribed time stored by a transaction quantity upper limit means 6 is revised to suppress the transaction quantity during journal swap, a journal quantity storage means 10 is started by the journal swap supervisory means 9 to store the quantity in the journal file. Thus, the chance is decreased that the transaction is finished forcibly in excess of the upper limit of the transition time assigned in the transaction due to the effect of the journal swap and the transaction processing is tried from the beginning.
