PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency and to simplify an assembly work by using broadening member inserted between magnetic heads and a jig which holds the heads in a diffused state and which smoothly brings the heads into contact with a disk. CONSTITUTION:The broadening members 16 are inserted between the magnetic heads 15 so as to broaden them. Since the members 16 are provided in an assembly jig 11 through a supporting member 17, a head clamp jig 21 is fitted so that a couple of heads 15 is prevented from being brought into contact when the assembly 20 is removed from the jig 11. Subsequently, the members 16 are extracted between the heads 15 which the jig 21 holds in a broaden state, and then the assembly 20 is fitted to a mainbody case with the jig 21. With rotating the jig 21 and removing it from the heads, the heads 15 are guided by the taper of a protruding part 23 between the heads 15 and is gradually brought into contact with the disk. Thus, the assembly work can efficiently and simply be executed.
