PURPOSE:To attain color correction at a high speed by applying color correction processing at the reception of data. CONSTITUTION:The content of a received data from the host side, in case of a gradation data (e.g., magenta), is sent in the order of n-set of gradation codes corresponding to the address on a frame memory and a color end code. With an input signal from an FF 32 to a PORT 12 at logical H, an I/O port 5 discriminates the presence of a received data to discriminate whether or not the data is a color designation code. In the presence of color designation code, the level of a PORT 8 is brought into an L level and either of PORTs 9, 10 goes to H. A ROM being a color correction means uses the reception data and a signal from the PORTs 8 10 as the address to send the corresponding color correction data to the I/O port 5. Then the I/O port 5 writes the received data subject to color correction to a frame memory (not shown).
