PURPOSE:To shorten a starting time, by a method wherein a start compensating circuit, increasing a base current to a predetermined value when the terminal voltage of a resistor, provided in the base circuit of a transistor, has exceeded a predetermined value, is provided in the title controller. CONSTITUTION:Upon starting a DC motor 11, the output voltage V0 of an operational amplifier 15 becomes minimum. Accordingly, the terminal voltage of a resistor 16, provided in a base circuit, is increased and a transistor 18 in a start compensating circuit 17 is turned ON. According to the operation of the transistor 18, the base current of the transistor 12 is increased forcibly to a current substantially determined by the resistor 19. When a speed signal from a frequency generator 13 is increased, the output voltage V0 of the operational amplifier 15 in an operation control circuit 14 is reduced. Accordingly, the transistor 18 is turned OFF and the base current of the transistor 12 is controlled thereafter by only the operational amplifier 15.
