In the MFR. of drum screens, a cylindrical material having the DIA. and the length of the drum screen is provided with circumferential grooved from the outside periphery (by cutting). The cylindrical material has a wall thickness equal to the thickness of the screen plus the thickness of the rib. The rib portions are then formed on the inside surface of the drum screen by cutting from the interior. Rigid drum screens with high accuracy may be obtd. only by cutting. This process is suitable for mass prodn.
