PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of picture quality by using a light beam so as to scan one picture element array for plural number of times being the multiple of integer of the number of faces of a rotary polygon mirror and distributing the pulse per one picture element to each scanning so as to bring the pulse per picture element to be a prescribed value in total of the plural number of times of scanning. CONSTITUTION:The light beam 11 deflected by a rotary polygon mirror 13 is scanned on a photosensitive material 16 and a continuous picture is recorded on the photosensitive material 16 by applying pulse number modulation or pulse width modulation based on the picture signal. In the optical scanning recording method, one picture element array is scanned by using the light beam 11 for the plural number of times being the multiple of integer of the number of faces of the rotary polygon mirror 13 and the pulse number or pulse width per picture element decided based on the picture signal is distributed to each scanning so as to be a prescribed value in total of the plural number of times of scannings. |
