PURPOSE:To shorten a distance between a portion to be detected and an inspector by properly arranging a 1st optical axis deflecting means having a luminous flux distributing function and 2nd and 3rd optical axis deflecting means. CONSTITUTION:Luminous flux passing an objective lens 1 for forming a portion E to be detected on an infinite point is made incident on a TV recorder 6 through a zoom lens 2 and an optical flux distributing means 7 to be the 1st optical axis deflecting means and forms its image on an image pickup tube face 10 through a photographing lens 8 and a roof type rectangular prism 11 for compensating the inversion of an image. An image forming lens 3, a roof type rectangular prism 12 to be the 2nd optical axis deflecting means, a mirror 13 to be the 3rd optical axis deflecting means, and an eyepiece lens 5 are successively arranged along the optical axis in the reflecting direction of the means 7 to form an eyepiece optical system. The 1st-3rd optical axis deflecting means are constituted so as to form an erect optical system as a whole. Consequently, an accessory device can be attached to the optical system, and even if the accessory device is attached, a reaching distance can be shortened.
