PURPOSE:To make it possible to notice the name of responding units to the gear shaft easily, by providing marks of plural component parts of the gear shaft, and indicating the type of units responding to the gear shaft by combining the marks. CONSTITUTION:On a shaft body 2, rifles 21 consisting of grooves formed by rifling process are formed, and similar rifles 31 are formed on gears 3a and 3c. The existence of these rifles 21 and 31 can be shown by discrimination marks, using the discrimination marks for the existence of the rifles for the parts of the shaft, showing the existence as 1 while showing the nonexistence as 0. Therefore, by providing a list of units responding to the existence and nonexistence of the lifles 21 and 31, the name of the responding units to the gear shaft can be confirmed easily without measuring the parts of the gears and the like.
