PURPOSE:To contrive to attain the low frequency emphasis by providing a passive speaker driven by the sound pressure of a main speaker to a space separated by a barrier in an audio equipment where the main speaker and an electric circuit or the like are contained. CONSTITUTION:A containing chamber of a board 22 mounted with an electric circuit is provided to the middle part of a cassette tape recorder 1 with a radio set and a speaker accommodating chamber is formed at both sides via a barrier 11 and main speakers 3, 4 are arranged in the accommodation chamber. On the other hand, a passive speaker comprising a passive cone 8 and a speaker frame 8a utilizing part of a case is provided to the rear side of the accommodation chamber of the board 22 via the barrier 11. The passive speaker is driven by the sound pressure of said main speakers 3, 4 and the low frequency component in the input signal is emphasized.
