PURPOSE:To execute reading, writing and erasing by means of a series of operation by forming an image on a thermochromic film in accordance with an inputted signal, penetrating light into the thermochromic film and projecting and displaying the image. CONSTITUTION:An original platen 8 on which an original 9 to be projected is set up is manually set up on a reading position, a driving device 5 is driven, and while moving the original platen 8 by a feed roll 10 is an arrow L direction, the original 9 is successively read out by an image sensor 17. The read image is immediately written in the thermochromic film 1 by a thermal head 14. Prior to the writing, an image formed on the film 1 is erased by on erasing heater 13. Thus, the reading of the original image and the writing of the image in the film 1 are simultaneously executed, and when the image reaches a projecting position after completing the writing, the movement of the film 1 is stopped and a projecting lamp 18 is illuminated to project the image.
