PURPOSE:To reduce a traveling resistance by installing a propulsion coil on the sidewall of a U-shaped rail, and reversely connecting levitation coils in upper and lower stages to be disposed on the surface of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting coil 1 is vertically disposed on the side of a truck 5, and a propulsion coil 2 is mounted oppositely to the coil 2 on the sidewall of a U-shaped rail 4. Further, levitation coils 6 are mounted at symmetrical position with respect to the center of the coil 2 in upper and lower stages on the surface of the coil 2, and the coils of the upper and lower stages are reversely connected to one another. The coils are disposed in this manner to reduce an electromagnetic traveling resistance.
