A solvent composition effective for removing polar and non-polar deposits from engine carburetters comprises (a) from 10-60% of a cyclic carbonate inner ester of formula <FORM:1094800/C4-C5/1> wherein R is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl having from 1-15 carbon atoms per group, (b) 5-70% of a C6 to C13 olefin, (c) 5-75% of a mononuclear aromatic hydrocarbon having 1-4 subtituents selected from hydrocarbon chains having 1-4 carbon atoms and chlorine. 5-75% of an ester and 5-50% of an ether may also be added, the boiling point of either being substantially lower than that of the inner ester above. |
