PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency by successively and automatically joining laver fed one by one from the first conveying device to laver positioned on the upstream end of the second conveying device forming long beltlike laver. CONSTITUTION:Rectangular sheetlike laver (N) is conveyed one by one in the first conveying device 2. The second conveying device 3 is provided on the downstream side of the device 2 at a lower conveying speed than that of the first conveying device 2. A liquid is applied to wet the upstream end part of the sheetlike laver in the course of conveying in a liquid coating device 4 provided on the upstream side of the second conveying device 3. Furthermore, the end parts of the sheetlike laver overlapped on the device 3 by difference in conveying speed between the device 2 and 3 are pressed while being heated by a pressing roller 6 provided above the second conveying device 3. As a result, since the laver can be automatically joined, production efficiency is improved as compared with that of conventional manual operation and the operation is sanitarily carried out. |
