PURPOSE:To reduce a power loss, by a method wherein a DC-DC converter operated by the switching of electric current is employed in a drive power supply and an output voltage value can be arbitrarily set from a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A DC power supply 1 and a drive circuit 3 driving power equipments such as a stepping motor 2 based on the output from the power supply 1 are provided. A DC-DC converter 4 and an output voltage setting circuit 5 enabling a voltage increase/decrease are connected with each other between the DC power source 1 and the drive circuit 3. A control circuit 7 is provided, which controls the output level of the output voltage setting circuit 5 and, for example, mainly consists of a microprocessor, and a voltage detection circuit 6 is equipped on an input step of the drive circuit 3. A switching circuit 4A is provided, which controls the output of the DC-DC converter 4 to be stable based on the variation of the voltage level detected by the voltage detection circuit 6. In this manner, the stepping motor can be driven with a proper voltage corresponding to the working speed of the motor and a power loss is reduced.
