PURPOSE:To make the position of strip-form material to be automatically displaced in width direction by providing the grip member gripping detachably the upper and lower surfaces of the strip-form material in at least one of the guide units for a pair of the strip-form material movable in the width direction of a frame. CONSTITUTION:When the material of side tread S is changed, the inner surfaces of the materials are made to coincide with each other at a rear feed out part and the materials are joined together. Next, outer guide forms 336, 336''' are moved outside, and the side tread Sb0 after the size change is make to pass therethrough. At the state where the side treads Sb0, Sb0' are introduced in the guide frames 336-336''', the rod 335, 335' of cylinders 353, 353' are advanced and circular members 356, 356' are lowered, thereby pinching the size treads Sb0, Sb0' with the horizontal parts 357a, 357a' of L-shape brackets 357, 357'. Then, a motor 344 is rotated forward or reversely, and inner guide frames 336', 336''' are moved to the preset position in width direction.
