PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit, by performing the position control of a head by fetching a data stored in a storage circuit which stores the data converted to a digital data in order, into a CPU appropriately. CONSTITUTION:After a position bit signal transferred faster than the fetching speed of the CPU is peak-held and A/D-converted until the next position bit signal is sampled, and is stored in the storage circuit 33 once, and the data is fetched from the storage circuit 33 at speed possible to be fetched in the CPU 23. Since the storage circuit 33 as a buffer is provided between an A/D conversion circuit 32 and the muCPU 23, it is possible to perform a peak-hold and an A/D conversion processing synchronized with the transfer speed of the position bit signal faster than the data fetching speed of the muCPU 23. In such way, only one peak hold circuit 31 and one A/D conversion circuit 32 are required, thereby, circuit constitution can be simplified.
