PURPOSE:To duplicate a disk in a short time, by providing a magnetic head provided with plural thin film magnetic heads being arranged so as to be able to form plural recording tracks simultaneously on a magnetic recording medium, and plural recording amplifiers which supply recording currents to the thin film heads. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 3 provided with plural thin film heads 2 and the recording amplifiers 5 which supply the recording currents to each of the thin film heads 2 via a signal line 4 are provided. By abutting the thin film head 2 of the magnetic head 3 with the recording plane of a turntable rotating the turntable at stationary speed, and supplying the recording current from the recording amplifier 5 to each of the thin film heads 2 via the signal line 4, the plural recording tracks can be formed simultaneously. Thus, since the thin film head with a small magnetic circuit is used, a stroke can be reduced, and the duplication of the disk can be performed in a very short time.
