PURPOSE:To enable an operator to master an operation in a short time by judging the need of an operating procedure through a computer against an operating error of the operator and displaying said procedure as necessary. CONSTITUTION:It is decided whether an operation is correct or not in response to the processing status for input of a HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) character 'A'. A correct operation is judged owing to a key input and then displayed on a display screen 21. If an operator operates a function key F1 in a wrong way, the operating procedure is displayed via an window 22 in response to the allowable error frequency 44 and the allowable time 45. The operator is allowed to have continuous operating errors within the frequency 44 and also to have the allowable time 45 to attain the procedure.
