PURPOSE:To miniaturize a projecting part for data imprinting by providing the titled device with an imprinting circuit for imprinting data horizontally when a camera is set up horizontally and imprinting data vertically at the time of setting up the camera vertically. CONSTITUTION:When the camera is set up vertically, a switch 3 is turned on and a signal through the switch 3 is inputted to a decoder 13 to switch an address in the decoder 3. The data are divided into proper digits for 'year', 'month' and 'day' and these data are imprinted as horizontally written vertical arrangement. If data expressing 'year' 'month' and 'day' are stored in the decoder 13 as data for a vertical position and a horizontal position, the vertical or horizontal position can be automatically switched by switching the switch 3. Consequently, the data are imprinted as horizontal writing arrangement when the camera is set u in the horizontal position, and as the vertical writing arrangement when the camera is in the vertical position, so that all the data can be imprinted by the small number of projectors (LEDa-LEDj).
