PURPOSE:To contrive to improve recovery ratio of CO gas in concentrating CO in a mixed gas of at least CO and CO2 by pressure swing adsorption separation at two stages, by specifying adsorption operation. CONSTITUTION:As the first-stage adsorption operation, a raw material gas is fed to an adsorption column 10A and CO2 is absorbed on an adsorbent to give a first-stage product gas containing no CO2. Then the adsorption column 10A is connected to an adsorption column 10B having finished exhaust purging, the column 10A is allowed to release pressure into given pressure and CO in the column is recovered in the column 10B. Then CO2 adsorbed on the adsorbent in the column 10A is purged by the use of a waste gas of the second-stage operation and desorbed. Then the column 10A is connected to an adsorption column 10C having finished adsorption, pressure is equalized and the column 10A is pressurized to given pressure. The first stage product gas is introduced in the column 10A and the column 10A is pressurized to given pressure. The process cycle is repeatedly carried out. By this method, CO in the raw material gas can be separated, purified and concentrated into high accuracy. |
