PURPOSE:To increase fixing strength between a base and a core and to improve reliability, by providing a disk jacket in which a core material fixed on the plane of a base material without interposing a magnetic layer and the base material are housed rotatably. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic layers 12 are formed on both planes of an annular base 11 with a diameter of 3.5 in. made of, for example, an ethylene terephthalate film and provided with a circle hole 11a in the center, and the core 13 made of stainless steel is arranged. The core 13 and the base 11 are fixed with a bonding layer 14 consisting of a modacrylic bonding agent, and the magnetic layer 2 on the base 11 at a part being brought into contact with the bonding layer 14 is eliminated, and the core 13 is fixed directly on the base 11 without interposing the magnetic layer 12 on the base 11. And the core 13 and the base 11 are housed in the disk jacket rotatably. In such way, it is possible to increase the fixing strength between the core 13 and the base 11 up to the rupture strength of the base 11 or the core 13.
