PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficient consecutive recording performance without deteriorating picture quality, by mixing a sound signal with an AC bias signal from a bias signal generating circuit at a mixing circuit, amplifying it at an amplifier circuit, and supplying it to a sound magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A sound FM signal is mixed with the AC bias signal from the bias signal generation circuit 9 at the mixing circuit 10, and is amplified by a recording amplifier 5, and is supplied selectively to an audio head 2 on a side to be recorded, and is AC bias recorded on a magnetic tape. Therefore, the erasure of a recorded part on the tape is performed by an AC bias signal current being permitted to flow on the preceding audio head 2, and simultaneously, the sound FM signal is recorded, and after that, a video FM signal is superposed and recorded by a video head 3. In other words, by recording the sound FM signal, it is possible to perform voice recording and video recording performing rotary erasure on the recording part. In such a way, it is possible to improve the picture quality at the consecutive recording part similarly as a VTR having a rotary erasure dedicated head.
