PURPOSE:To simplify mechanism in the periphery of a head and to facilitate an adjusting work, by rocking a guide member within a plane almost in parallel with a recording medium, and arranging the head on the radius of the recording medium by the rocking of the guide member. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 6 which guides a magnetic head is fixed with elastic plates 13a and 13b for a chassis 1, and furthermore, one end of the shaft is pressurized into contact with and fixed at a reception part 106, and the other end is pressurized into contact with and fixed at the reception member 107 of the chassis 1 by the elastic plate 13b. The elastic plate 13b is tightened with a screw on an adjusting base 11, and it is possible to rock the whole of the adjusting base 11 centering a through hole 11a by rotating an eccentric pin provided in the inside of the elongated hole 11c of the adjusting base 11, and the end part of the shaft 6 is moved smoothly along a collar 12 and the curved surface of a projecting part 108. Thus, since the in-line adjustment of the magnetic head can be performed in such way, the mechanism for the in-line adjustment can be omitted, and structure in the periphery of the head can be simplified.
