PURPOSE:To improve a working property and productivity by operating a connecting block and sticking an adhesive tape to both band like materials when the cut rear end of a band like material in use arrives at the defined position of a connecting station. CONSTITUTION:When the front end of a sealing material a2 cut by a cutter is detected by a paper end detector 13', the sealing material a2 is fed by a defined dimension and is kept in standby in nearly the center position on the receiving table 20' of a connecting station 10. And, one sheet of the foremost adhesive label (b) is fed from an adhesive label feeding device 15 in the upper limit position of a connecting block 20, which adsorbs it by its suction port 21 and is moved to a standby position. When the remaining quantity of a sealing material a1 in use becomes small and a rear end mark is detected, the material is cut by a defined timing and as the cut end reaches the defined position of the receiving table 20', the connecting block 20 in standby is lowered to stick the adhesive label (b) to both of the rear end part of the sealing material a1 and the front end part of the sealing material a2 to connect them. Thereby, the connecting operation can be accurately carried out mechanically and automatically. |
