H-SHAPE STEEL SPREAD ROLLING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To optionally preform individual manufacture of variously sized H- shape steels without changing rolls by oppositely positioning sleeve rolls at a prescribed slant angle to a horizontal roll shaft to form a truncated chevron shape and fitting the sleeve rolls to the roll shaft to be movable and adjustable in right and left directions through a key. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral edge of sleeve rolls 1 is formed into a shape 1A similar to the shape of an inside root part of an H-shape steel. The two sleeve rolls 1 are oppositely installed on a horizontal roll shaft 2 of a both side edger type rolling mill to face each other. In the installation, the rolls 1 form a truncated chevron shape with a prescribed slant angle theta to the shaft 2, and further the sleeve rolls 1 are fixed movably and adjustably in right and left directions through a key in a key way 14. Two spread rolling devices having the above structure are installed in respective upper and lower positions so as to be spread and rolled an H-shape steel rolled stock 3 into various sizes.
