PURPOSE:To improve the quality of metallic fine wire by controlling drum revolutional velocity in accordance with the change of molten metal static pressure in a heating furnace for the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical drum 10 integrately forming side plate 16 for holding coolant and closing plate 18 is arranged and fixed to an output shaft of motor 20. A controller 40 and timer 42, which program type numerical control can be executed, are connected with series to the motor 20. The liquid coolant is supplied while rotating the drum 10 and the liquid coolant layer 24 is formed by centrifugal force on the inner circumferential face, and the pressurized molten alloy 34 in the heating furnace 28 for molten metal is injected from a nozzle 30 and the molten metal injection device 26 is slowly shifted from inlet to inner part of liquid layer 24. Then, the number of revolution for the motor 20 is controlled in accordance with the change of the static pressure of molten metal 34 by linking with the timer 42 and the controller 40. As the metallic fine wire 30 is solidified under uniform tension, the quality, such as the shape, outer diameter, etc., is improved. |
