PURPOSE:To obtain a color liquid crystal composition having excellent contrast, light resistance and low-temperature stability, containing a mixture of a specific azo dichroic dyestuff and specific anthraquinone dichroic dyestuffs. CONSTITUTION:The aimed liquid crystal composition containing (A) an azo dichroic dyestuff shown by formula I and/or formula II (R<1>, R<6> and R<7> are H, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.; R<2> is alkyl, alkoxyalkyl or arylmethyl; R<3>-R<5> are H, methyl, halogen, etc.), (B) an anthraquinone dichroic dyestuff shown by formula III (R<8> and R<9> are H, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.) and (C) an anthraquinone dichroic dyestuff shown by formula IV and formula V (R<10> is alkyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkoxy; R<11> and R<12> are H, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.).
