PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of table data and to surely perform a die management by providing a die identifying device on a touring tower and performing the die management with discriminating the corrigendum of the table data soored by making the number of each station corresponding to a die number. CONSTITUTION:A detection part is located at the specific station position of a specific turret and the tip part 51 of a fiber group is located at the outer peripheral position of each die. A light source 55 is then turned ON and the tip 51 of the fiber group is pushed forward to the turret side by the driving of a pulse motor. A laser light is then projected just above or just under by the fiber rows 49a, 49c and 49c, 49f for projection and these reflection light beams of the laser light are returned to the fiber rows 49b and 49e for photodetection. The image of a punch and die is now obtd. by processing at the other end (detection end) 57 side of the fiber rows 49b, 49e for photodetection.
