PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting of a cassette case, by a method, wherein one ends of a plurality of guide shafts are fixed to a side plate having a line type printing part and a ribbon driving shaft held thereto in parallel to the ribbon driving shaft and a receiving table supporting a ribbon cassette case along the guide shafts in a freely slidable manner is provided to the side plate. CONSTITUTION:One ends of two guide shafts 7 and one end of a receiving table 23 are fixed to a side plate 1 and positioning parts 24 for positioning the guide shafts 7 and the engaging holes 21 of a cassette case 16a on the same axis are formed to the receiving table 23. When the cassette case 16a is brought into contact with the insides of the positioning parts 24 to be placed on the receiving table 23, the engaging holes 21 coincide with the guide shafts 7 on the extending lines thereof and the ribbon winding shaft 18 coincides with the extending line of a ribbon driving shaft. Therefore, even when the cassette case 16a holding a wide ribbon 20 increases in a wt., said cassette case 16a is once supported by the receiving table 23 and the mounting of the cassette case 16a can be easily performed.
