PURPOSE:To enhance the reflectivity of a recording layer and to improve preservability, by using a specific azulenium dye and a specific metal chelate compound. CONSTITUTION:A material composed of a combination consisting of at least one of dyes represented by formulae I, II, III and a metal chelate compound is applied to an acrylic resin disc-shaped substrate using a predetermined solvent to form a recording layer having a thickness of 800-1000Angstrom . In the formulae I, II, III, R1, R2 R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a monovalent org. residue or a substituted or non substituted fused ring may be formed by at least one of combinations of R1 and R2, R2 and R3, R3 and R4, R4 and R5, R5 and R6, and R6 and R7, A is a divalent org. residue and Z(-) is an anionic residue. The center metal of the chelate compound is pref. a transition metal selected from Zn, Cu, Ni. Co, Mn, Pd, Nr or the like. |
