PURPOSE:To separate and transport a cut paper certainly and easily by arranging supporting means for supporting a separating lever in swingable way onto a casette body at the other edge. CONSTITUTION:A separating lever 15 is separated from a guide, accommodated with the lowering of a loaded paper P, and a separating plate 16 is attached onto the rear edge upper part of the uppermost paper P1 by only the dead weight having the moment force of the separating lever 15. In the transport process, a paper feeding roller 18 revolves a pulse motor in the normal direction to an initial position alphao. Therefore, a rubber part 18a acts reversely to the case of separation, and the front edge of the uppermost paper P1 is transported to a paper initial position Xo over a front pressing part 2d. Since, at this time, the rear edge part of the uppermost paper P1 is outside a gap (t), generation of the defect caused by the contact between the gap part and the load which is applied onto the uppermost paper P1 during the passing through the gap can be prevented in the succeeding transport, and stable transport is permitted.
