<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the consumed electric power, improve efficiency, and simplify wiring by receiving and delivering the optical signals by an optical communication unit between each shelf stage and a picker and controlling the picker, in the captioned device for warehouse, etc. CONSTITUTION:The shelf 4 of a container 5 into which articles are accommodated is designated by an article taking-out demand for a main computer 10, and an instruction is sent to an inner picker 6 on that floor through an optical communication unit 9. Then, the picker 6 travels, and then stops in front of a prescribed shelf 4, and the container 5 is taken out from the shelf 4. When the taking-out of the container 5 by the picker 6 is completed, the picker 6 shifts, and inserts the container 5 into a receiving and delivering shelf group 4', and the completion of the work is informed to the computer 10 by the optical communication unit 9. The container 5 is carried out by an outer picker 11. With such constitution, wiring can be made simple, and efficiency can be improved.</p> |
