PURPOSE:To reinforce the fixture of a slug and a die and to prevent a scum riser as well by forming the notch in the thickness direction thereof on the peripheral edge of the scum by the 2nd cutting edge part provided on a notch part in continuation. CONSTITUTION:After executing a specific circular punching by a punch 103 and the 1st cutting edge part 11a of a die 11 on the member 101 to be worked a linear notch is formed in the plate thickness direction at the peripheral edge by a 2nd cutting edge part 11a on a caused slug. The slug 12 is slightly expanded by punching of a 1st cutting edge part 11a and a notch 12a by the 2nd cutting edge part 11b is formed on the peripheral edge of the expanded part thereof. A projecting part 12b is caused at the outside of the notch 12a with this notch 12a being formed and the rising move of the slug 12 by its adherence to the punch 103 is blocked with the 1st cutting edge part 11a becoming a stopper.
