PURPOSE:To industrially and advantageously obtain the titled derivative applicable to such as enzymatically purifying chromatography, etc., by adsorbing a coenzyme having an adenine nucleus onto activated charcoal and reacting with an alkylating agent at specific pH and temperature. CONSTITUTION:A coenzyme having an adenine nucleus expressed by the formula is adsorbed onto activated charcoal and then reacted with an alkylating agent at 0-80 deg.C while maintaining pH at 4-11, preferably 4-8. Then preferably, after removing the alkylating agent, the resultant product is treated at 0-80 deg.C while maintaining pH at 7-11 to afford the aimed derivative in which amino group at the 6-position on the adnine nucleus is alkylated.
