In a cross-country ski roller (10), the support board (18) supporting the cross-country ski boot is mounted to be pivotable about a longitudinal axis on the frame (12). The pivot angle is restricted. A spring (32) pulls the support board (18) into the horizontal position. The cross-country ski roller (10) permits fatigue-free training with a high degree of push-off force and, by virtue of hard, abrasion-proof rollers (14, 16) has a low rolling resistance and very low wear. <IMAGE>
