PURPOSE:To obtain an image which has no irregularity in density by using high-resistance magnetic toner as insulating toner. CONSTITUTION:For example, the high resistance magnetic toner is used as toner. Then when the toner is supplied to a developing sleeve 40 by a toner supply roller 47, the toner is attracted to the side of the developing sleeve 40 under the influence of the magnetic force of a magnetic roller 41 and supplied deeply to a magnetic developer on the developing sleeve 40. Consequently, the supplied magnetic toner contacts carriers in the magnetic developer with high probability and the mixing agitation of the supplied toner is increased to charge the toner electrostatically to a constant electrostatic charging level in a short time. This magnetic toner consists of resin such as polystyrene, magnetic pow der, an antistatic agent, carbon black, etc., and wax, etc., may be added when necessary. Consequently, an image having no irregularity in density is obtained. |
