The method is intended for the production of dentures or denture parts of a polymerizable plastic. The plastic is introduced into a cavity which corresponds to the shape of the denture, is delimited by the plaster model on one side and by a mould upper part retaining the arrangement of teeth and surrounding the overall free surfaces of the plaster model on the other side, and is produced by removal of the denture model, and polymerized in a flask containing the plaster model and the mould upper part in a polymerization vessel under pressure. The pourable plastic is poured into a centric cavity of the denture model and from there uniformly distributed from the bottom to the top in the model cavity that is held upright, and the centric cavity is filled at least up the height of the model cavity. The filling is kept under pressure during polymerization. In order to improve this method in terms of fitting accuracy of the occlusal plane and to make it more reliable, and in order to guarantee re-pressability of the plastic, the cavity, which is filled with venting, and its filling are kept under pressure during the polymerization by keeping it open towards the interior of the polymerization vessel. At least the upper region of the filling is cooled, and the mould upper part which is formed from a material of limited elasticity, e.g. duplicating gel or the like, is stabilized against dimensional changes in known manner ...
