PURPOSE:To electrically execute rapid switching to three modes by earthing the intermediate points of four half-wavelength lines connecting each two adjacent terminals out of four signal terminals and the intermediate points of two half-wavelength lines connecting each two opposed intermediate points of two pairs of opposed half-wavelength lines respectively through switching elements. CONSTITUTION:Each two adjacent terminals 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 3 and 4, and 4 and 1 are connected through half-wavelength lines (or their odd times wavelength lines) 5-8 having equal characteristic impedance. In addition, two intermediate points of two opposed lines 5, 6 and 7, 8 are connected through two half- wavelength lines having equal characteristic impedance. The intermediate points of these lines 5-10 are earthed through switching elements 11-15. When the switching elements 11, 12 are turned oft and the residual elements are turned on, when the elements 13, 14 are turned off and the others are turned on, or when all the elements 11-15 are turned off, the titled switch acts as a three- mode switch. Consequently, the switch concerned can be easily built in an integrated circuit and a miniaturized product having no rotating part and excellent in mechanical intensity can be obtained.
