PURPOSE:To minimize the damage due to the occurrence of trouble by providing an abnormality detecting means which initializes its own processor after informing the other processors of abnormality detection at the time of detecting abnormality. CONSTITUTION:Processors A and B in a multiprocessor system are provided with abnormality detecting means 1a and 1b to detect abnormality of processors by themselves. Detecting abnormality of corresponding processors A and B, abnormality detecting means 1a and 1b inform other processors A or B of abnormality detection and initialize corresponding processors A and B thereafter. Consequently, the normal processor is not erroneously initialized by the other processor. Since one processor reports the occurrence of trouble in this processor itself to the other processor before being initialized, the other processor is prevented from utilizing the faulty processor.
