According to the application No. 3536063.8 underlying this additional application, the draught occurring in conventional air-conditioning systems is avoided in that the cooled air is blown into an interspace filling the entire interior surface of the roof, which interspace drives the cool air uniformly over a porous wall and over a large area into the interior compartment. The air supply may take place via the front side pillars of the roof. In the present additional application, a preferred arrangement is specified, according to which the cool air is produced by an additional evaporator in the rear of the vehicle and is blown into the interspace via the rear roof pillars which in many cases have a high volume. A further concept consists in optimising the effectiveness of the system by optimising the air inflow by means of a local variation of the pore density or the pore size in the porous wall.
